The platform has been live at sageprint.netlify.app. The MSA starts the monthly retainer on the 1st of the month after go-live. Same-day bug fixes, chatbot operation, two free upgrades per quarter, and a quarterly strategy call sit inside that $350. Those four included upgrades are not billed at $75/hour.

How the extra hours already cover your included upgrades

The proposal framed this build at about 150 to 200 hours. From March 30 to August 11 we spent 43 work days on the platform. The figure we use with you is about 380 to 420 hours. That is roughly 180 to 270 hours more than the original frame.

Those extra hours are already in the month table below. They are not a second pile of work. Four included upgrades come off that pile at no $75/hour charge. We are asking for half of what is left, at $37.50/hour (half of the MSA $75 rate).

Hours
Proposal frame150–200 h
Delivered380–420 h
Extra already in this record~180–270 h

Four included upgrades, already inside those hours

Your $350 monthly retainer includes two free upgrades per quarter. Premium work beyond that is $75 CAD / hour in the MSA. The extra hours already logged in past months cover those included upgrades, so we are not billing the four of them at $75/hour.

Quarter Included (not billed extra) Where the hours already sit
Apr–Jun 20262 upgradesAlready inside extra hours in Apr / May / Jun
Jul–Sep 20262 upgradesAlready inside extra hours in Jul / Aug
Used4 included upgradesNo $75/hour line for these four

What is left after those four is still extra delivery on the original deploy fee of $7,872. At the MSA premium rate of $75/hour, that leftover would be about $13,500 to $20,250 CAD.

We are asking for half of that leftover, billed at $37.50/hour (half of $75). This invoice uses the middle extra of 225 hours.

Hours Rate CAD

This invoice: half leftover at $37.50/h225 h$37.50$8,437.50
GST 5%$421.88
Extra hours due$8,859.38

The other half of the leftover extra stays in the platform, not billed. Going forward, new premium work beyond the two included upgrades per quarter is $75/hour, as the MSA already says.

Hours below are estimated from the real work log (work days and volume from March 30 to August 11). Meetings, calls, and design time without a recorded update are not counted. This is a floor, not a padded agency quote.
