Grok Bot Is Live: AI Teammates With Their Own Computer

xAI opened early beta for Grok Bot, agents you message like coworkers. They sign into tools, run jobs 24/7, and only pull you in for approval. Pricing, access, and how to start.

Quick answer Grok Bot is not the same as chat Grok. It is a team of always-on agents with a cloud computer. Beta today for SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium. Product page: x.ai/bot. Launch post: Introducing Grok Bot.

On August 11, 2026, xAI put Grok Bot on the front of its own news stack: AI teammates you give real work to, not another chat box.

The product pitch is blunt. Bots have their own computer. They can sign into apps and websites the way a person would, including tools without a clean API. They finish multi-step jobs and come back when something needs your judgment. xAI says the company already ran internal Bots on sales outbound, marketing, ops, bug reproduction, and more before opening beta.

How Grok Bot differs from chat Grok

Chat Grok answers, drafts, searches, and generates. Grok Bot is framed as a colleague with a desk: parallel Bots, shared context, routines learned by watching you once, and work that keeps running when your laptop is closed. xAI’s FAQ-style line on the product page: Bots have their own computer, so they work inside your tools and run 24/7.

How to use Grok Bot

  1. 01 · Check access You need SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, or Cursor Teams Premium (or enterprise path). Free chat Grok alone is not the same product lane.
  2. 02 · Open the product Start at x.ai/bot. Read the launch note at x.ai/news/introducing-grok-bot. X profile for the bot brand: @bot.
  3. 03 · Download macOS (Apple silicon) download is linked from the product page (early beta build). iOS is listed for the same access tiers. Follow xAI’s download section for other platforms as they open.
  4. 04 · Create a Bot and give it a job Message it like a teammate. xAI examples: sales outbound, talent, paid media, expenses, product performance, bug reproduction, account health, chief of staff.
  5. 05 · Teach once, then schedule Show a workflow once. The Bot can save a routine and run it later. Use multi-Bot threads when work should pass between specialists.
  6. 06 · Keep human approval on money and risk Bots come back when approval is needed. For Canadian operators: CRM, email, and finance logins still need policy. Do not hand secrets to any agent without a review path.

What the xAI team says it is good for

Launch examples include overnight account research and outbound drafts, demo environment prep, CRM hygiene, and account follow-up. The internal story is multi-Bot stacks: a chief of staff Bot with specialists under it, not one overloaded chat.

Alberta / Canada operator take

Grok Bot is a different buying decision from SuperGrok chat or a token API. You are buying always-on computer use inside real tools. That can help small teams punch above headcount. It also raises access control, audit, and “who approved that send” questions. Start with one low-risk lane (research drafts, internal checklists) before CRM writes or customer email at scale.

Opcelerate recommendation If you already sit on SuperGrok Heavy or Cursor Ultra, open x.ai/bot today and run one supervised Bot on a non-customer-critical task. If you are on free Grok only, treat this as a roadmap product until you need true teammate automation, then price Cursor Ultra or Teams against the hours you would hire for.
