On August 24, 2026, Anthropic's public status page logged elevated errors across multiple Claude models, then two separate login incidents that also hit Claude Code subscription sign-in. The same page currently shows Claude for Government at 100.0% uptime over 90 days.
What Monday's status page says
Anthropic opened an “Elevated errors for multiple models” incident at 05:06 UTC. At 05:27 UTC it said it had identified the cause on requests to Claude Mythos 5, Claude Fable 5, Claude Opus 5, and other Claude models. The resolved note at 08:30 UTC published an impact window from 9:50pm PT / 04:50 UTC through 00:36am PT / 07:36 UTC, and named Claude Opus 5 and Fable 5 in that wrap-up. Anthropic did not publish a root cause.
Two shorter login incidents followed the same day. From 9:02–9:08am PT / 16:02–16:08 UTC, users had trouble logging into Claude.ai, including connecting Claude Code with a subscription. From 1:00pm PT / 20:00 UTC through 1:08pm PT / 20:08 UTC, Anthropic again reported errors accessing Claude.ai, including Claude Code subscription login. Both were marked resolved.
The 90-day split
Those percentages are on the same status page, checked after the incidents. Claude Console sits at 99.86%. Claude Cowork sits at 99.46%. Claude for Government is the only listed product at 100.0%. That is a published uptime table, not a rumor about secret capacity. It also is not a claim that the government product was untouched during any one incident. Anthropic's Monday notes do not list which products were spared.
What Alberta operators should do
The overnight error window was 10:50pm to 1:36am MDT, when most shops were closed. The login hits were 10:02am and 2:00pm MDT, inside live work hours. If Claude Code on a commercial seat is the only path for a bid file or a nine-hour agent job, Monday is the reminder that this is a single point of failure. Subscribe to status.claude.com. Keep client work that cannot miss a window on a private AI path or a second vendor, not on one commercial endpoint.
The guardrail
Canadian SMEs, agencies, and most provincial shops do not buy Anthropic's government tier. The 100.0% line is a procurement fact for anyone writing always-on language into a stack. For AI consulting work, treat commercial Claude as a capable model with a public status history, not as infrastructure that never blinks.
